TRIP DETAILS:

This spring break trip offers students an unforgettable opportunity to explore the history, culture, and living traditions of Southeast Asia through immersive, place-based experiences. The journey begins in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where students will visit the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace to gain insight into Vietnam’s modern history and its path toward reunification. From there, the group will fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia, home to both vibrant contemporary communities and one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites. Students will visit a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake, learning firsthand how families adapt their daily lives to a changing water landscape, before exploring the awe-inspiring ancient temples of Angkor Wat and the surrounding Angkor complex. The trip concludes in Bangkok, Thailand, where students will discover the country’s rich cultural heritage through visits to sacred temples and historic sites, gaining a deeper understanding of Buddhism, Thai history, and urban life in a dynamic global city. Throughout the trip, students will be encouraged to observe, reflect, and engage respectfully with the people and places they encounter, making this a meaningful and educational travel experience as well as an exciting spring break adventure.
