TRIP DATES: March 12-21, 2026

TEACHER CHAPERONES: Tiffany Webber and Krista Jones

TRIP DETAILS:

The trip begins with a flight to Ecuador, where we meet our Tour Director. After a long travel journey, the adventure begins right away and we spend the day exploring Quito, including stops at Independence Plaza, the Government Palace, and the Church of the Society of Jesus, followed by an excursion to the equatorial line to visit the Intiñan Museum and observe the natural forces at work near the equator. Our journey continues, and we fly to Baltra Island, visit the Twin Craters, explore the Santa Cruz highlands to see wild tortoises, and tour the Charles Darwin Research Station. The following day we take a boat transfer to Isabela Island to visit a pink flamingo habitat, tour a tortoise breeding center, take a boat excursion to the Tintoreras Lava Islet, and enjoy snorkeling. Moving again, we travel back to Santa Cruz Island to hike to Tortuga Bay and spend some relaxation time on Playa Mansa. The adventure continues with a boat ride to San Cristóbal Island to visit the San Cristóbal Interpretation Centre, hike Tijeretas Hill, and snorkel at La Loberia Beach. We then return to Quito by plane. On our final day, we take a day trip to Otavalo for an artisan demonstration, explore the local market, visit a waterfall in Cotacachi, and then begin our journey home.
